Why the original link matters

A spreadsheet row compresses an external page into a title, thumbnail, price, and URL. Any one of those fields may become stale. The seller may replace the item, change the options, remove a size chart, or move the listing while the spreadsheet stays unchanged.

The source page answers one practical question: does this row still describe what the destination shows? It helps with matching, but it cannot tell you whether the product will meet expectations or whether a transaction will go smoothly.

What the source names usually tell you

Taobao

Usually a retail-style product page with images, selectable options, seller information, and a displayed price that may change by variant. Confirm which option the spreadsheet price refers to.

Weidian

Often a store listing with product images, variants, descriptive text, and seller context. Check whether the item title and current image set still match the saved row.

1688

Often presents wholesale-oriented information, quantity tiers, variant combinations, or supplier details. A low visible number may depend on quantity or option, so do not compare it blindly with a single-item row.

Yupoo

Usually functions as an image-album or catalog view. It can add visual context, but it may not provide complete price, variant, transaction, or service information.

A familiar domain is not verificationTaobao, Weidian, 1688, and Yupoo describe where the link points. They do not certify the spreadsheet row or its claims.

Primary reference: compare unfamiliar destinations with the official Weidian site or official Yupoo site. A matching hostname identifies the platform, not the quality of a listing.

The four-pass source check

  1. Product match.
The row and source should describe the same product type. A “jacket” row that opens a shirt or accessory has already failed.
  2. Photo match.
Compare shape, construction, visible details, color options, and identifiers. Do not rely on a single thumbnail.
  3. Variant match.
Selectable size, color, set, or version can change the shown price and included item. Record the exact option being compared.
  4. Information match.
Check size charts, measurements, material notes, included parts, and weight clues. Missing information should lower confidence, not invite guessing.

Give every source link a status

StatusWhat you seeWhat to do
Clear matchProduct, photos, variant, and details align with the row.Keep it for comparison, then check QC photos, sizing, and weight.
Partial matchThe product looks related, but one important field differs or is missing.Mark the missing field and compare another row before saving.
Moved or replacedThe page opens, but the current item is different.Remove the row unless a current exact source can be found.
UnavailableThe page is deleted, restricted, empty, or cannot be interpreted.Do not reconstruct the item from old spreadsheet text alone.

What a link converter can and cannot do

A converter reformats a supported URL so another service can read it. That can solve a routing problem, but it does not show whether the listing is current or whether the selected option matches the spreadsheet.

Joyabuy Sheet does not operate a converter. If you use one elsewhere, compare the new destination with the original domain, item identifier, and visible product details before continuing.

Worked example: a hoodie row

Spreadsheet row

  • Title says heavyweight zip hoodie
  • Thumbnail shows a dark gray garment
  • Price appears without a selected size
  • Source field says Weidian

Source page

  • Current page offers a pullover, not a zip hoodie
  • Gray option is no longer visible
  • Size chart belongs to a different product
  • Displayed price changes by option

Decision: remove the row from the active shortlist. The URL works, but the source no longer supports the row.

A one-minute save rule

  • I can name the exact product and variant.
  • The source photos agree with the spreadsheet row.
  • The price belongs to the option I am comparing.
  • The relevant size or specification information is visible.
  • I know which detail still needs QC-photo or weight confirmation.

Keep the uncertainty visibleWrite “size chart missing” or “weight unclear” beside the row. A specific unknown is easier to research than a vague feeling.
